Vetus engines are normally equipped

with Technodrive or ZF-Hurth gearbox-

es. Consult the supplied Owners Manual

for more details about care and mainte-

nance. In case your engine is equipped

with another brand of gearbox follow the

instructions given in the supplied owner’s

manual for changing oil and other care

and maintenance.

23 Oil level check (Technodrive)

The oil level must between the two marks

on the dipstick

If necessary top up.

The filler cap is on top of the gearbox

housing. For oil type and specification see

page 118.

24 Oil level check (ZF-Hurth)

Unscrew the dipstick out of the gearbox

housing.

Check the oil level by cleaning the dip-

stick and lowering it into the hole, without

screwing it in. The oil level must between

the two marks on the dipstick

If necessary top up by pouring oil into the

dipstick hole. For oil type and specification

see page 118.

4 Maintenance

Gearbox oil level check

Every 100 operating hours.
