41 Impeller inspection

• Inspecttheimpellerfordamage.

• Replacetheimpellerifnecessary.

42 Re-install the impeller

• Theimpellershould belubricatedwith

glycerin or a non-petroleum based lubri-

cant such as a silicone spray before fit-

ting it into the impeller housing.

• Fittheimpellertothepumpshaft.(ifan

existing impeller is re-used, install it in

the same position as removed).

The direction of rotation of the impeller

is anti-clockwise.

43 Replacing the pump cover

• Alwaysuseanewgasketwhenreplac-

ing the cover.

• Checkthewaterfilterandopenthesea

cock.

Raw water pump inspection

Every 800 operating hours.
